We cover the same news everyone else does
We just tell you what it costs you.
Wire services are very good at telling you what happened. They are much less interested in the question most people actually have next, which is what it does to their money.
Reckonwire covers politics, health, the economy and the world through one filter:what does this cost me? Every story carries a number, and that number is the point of the story, not decoration on top of it.
What we are not
We are not a financial advice site. We do not tell you which plan to buy, which fund to pick, or what to do with your money. We report what a decision costs and where the figure comes from, and we leave the decision to you and to whoever is licensed to advise you.
We also do not take a partisan position. That is not squeamishness — it is the job. A tariff costs a household the same amount regardless of who you voted for, and a story that tells you how to feel about it is not telling you what it costs.
Who publishes this
Percival Monge is the founder and publisher of Reckonwire. He runs Digital Glow Agency, a digital strategy practice, and publishes a group of independent news and reference sites — including US Money Calendar, which tracks federal benefit payment dates.
Reckonwire is independently owned. It is not funded by, or affiliated with, any political party, campaign, government agency or advocacy organisation.
How we pay for it
Reckonwire is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no input into what we cover or how we cover it, and no advertiser sees a story before it publishes. Where we link to a sister site of ours, we say so on the link.
